ENVIRONMENT:
AN innovative Academic Institute seeks a Software & Security Lecturer who will lecture IT-related modules on a part-time basis while assisting with the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the academic department. You will require a BSc. Honours Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (a Master’s or similar will be hugely beneficial) with relevant lecturing experience including knowledge of Higher Education practices and processes and relevant research experience.
DUTIES:
Modules to be lectured – Introduction to Programming using C++, Linux-based Operating System, Generic Algorithm Design, Academic English for IT Professionals, Database Design Concepts, Database Management, Basic and Advanced Java Programming, Basic PHP Programming, Mathematical Problem-solving and Reasoning, Software Engineering, Python Programming
- Lecturing.
- General administration.
- Set and mark of assessments.
- Preparation of notes and additional study materials.
- Quality Assurance.
- Management of At-risk students.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
- BSc. Honours Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (Master’s in IT or similar will be advantageous).
Experience/Skills –
- Relevant lecturing experience.
- Necessary knowledge of Higher Education practices and processes.
- Relevant research experience.
