Senior Production Technician

ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, a well-established and highly respected provider of technology and automation solutions, is looking for an exceptional and passionate Technician to join their dynamic Production team. The successful candidate will be part of a hands-on production environment, contributing to various processes within the aerospace manufacturing sector. This role requires a B-Tech Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, along with familiarity with electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and soldering techniques.
DUTIES:
- Take a senior role in the assembly, testing, design, development, implementation, and verification of systems, subsystems, testers, and associated software, hardware, and algorithms related to the Employer’s products and services.
- Contribute towards outputs for specific projects, including all design, documentation, and verification artefacts.
- Take responsibility for the proper implementation and functionality of the Employer’s prototyping and assembly facilities, including tooling, spares, stock, and infrastructure. Maintain company processes and systems in line with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other applicable quality, production, and development standards.
- Manage stores and stock in alignment with AS9100 standards, ensuring all materials and components are organized, safely stored, and properly accounted for.
- Conduct incoming inspections of components to verify quality, quantity, and authenticity, ensuring each part is accurately documented within the ERP system.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to perform formal quality inspections on electronic and mechanical components, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards and product specifications.
- Play a role in generating project outputs, including design, testing, documentation, production, and verification artefacts.
- Implement the company’s system engineering processes, plans, and policies as applicable to specific projects.
- Perform minor support roles within the company, as required.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- B-Tech Degree / Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Required Skills and Experience
- 4 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Familiarity with electronic components, PCBs, and soldering.
