ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic UK-based Digital Marketing Platform has an exciting opportunity for someone with a product-led mindset and a background in Paid Media to be its next Senior Paid Media & Account Manager. You will take full ownership of a number of Paid Media accounts across various verticals & platforms, lead on client contact, reporting, strategy, road mapping and account execution for your clients. You would also carry out campaign execution & optimisation, with the support of more junior team members. The successful candidate must have 5+ years hands-on Paid Media experience across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and ideally TikTok Ads or other social platforms and 2+ years’ experience managing and developing teams. You will also need a proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients and delivering performance at or above targets.
DUTIES:
Performance & Strategy –
- Oversee and guide client performance across a portfolio of campaigns, ensuring delivery against company and client targets.
- Develop tailored optimization strategies, media plans, and audits — going beyond standard templates to include unique insights.
- Continually assess client results, proactively identifying opportunities, risks, and strategic improvements.
- Lead case study production for the team, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the company’s brand strategy.
Team Leadership & Development –
- Mentor and coach Account Managers and junior team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proactively identify team members’ strengths and weaknesses, assigning opportunities to maximise performance.
- Ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds targets, addressing underperformance constructively and effectively.
- Promote reflection and learning across the team – encouraging ownership of performance reviews, retrospectives, and process improvements.
- Confidently manage people’s challenges, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative team atmosphere.
Client & Business Leadership –
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client and partner relationships, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
- Confidently communicate the strategic vision to clients, aligning tactical execution with wider business goals.
- Represent the company at industry events, leveraging your network to strengthen positioning and create opportunities beyond sales.
- Lead business-hosted events and contribute to cross-functional projects with minimal input from senior stakeholders.
Product & Technology –
- Collaborate closely with the tech team on new feature development — from briefing through to testing.
- Provide strategic feedback on the platform based on industry changes, client needs, and team experiences.
- Advise on agency tech projects and contribute to implementation plans for new technologies across the wider business.
Leadership Contribution –
- Act as a trusted advisor within the business — known for your product knowledge, industry insights, and ability to connect ideas across teams.
- Identify new avenues for the sales and product teams based on client and market feedback.
- Advise senior stakeholders on brand positioning and recommend incremental improvements.
- Ensure effective planning, resourcing, and reporting for all team projects, communicating blockers and risks upwards where necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ Years of hands-on Paid Media experience across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and ideally TikTok Ads or other social platforms.
- 2+ Years of experience managing and developing teams.
- Proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients and delivering performance at or above targets.
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills, with experience leading business reviews and strategic conversations.
- Experience working closely with Tech or Product teams on feature development and implementation.
- Ability to plan, lead, and deliver cross-functional projects with minimal oversight.
- Established industry network, and confidence representing a business externally.
- Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets (or similar) for Data Analysis and Media Planning.
- Fluent English speaker (other languages a bonus).
