ENVIRONMENT:
Our client is  looking for a driven and dynamic Sales Consultant to spearhead new business development initiatives in the B2B retail sector across the Western Cape. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a passion for sales, strong closing skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with retail businesses.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, securing meetings with decision-makers, presenting solutions, and closing deals that drive revenue and business growth
 
DUTIES:
  • Proactively identify and target new business opportunities within the retail sector.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, and client referrals.
  • Present company products/services to prospective clients in a compelling and professional manner.
  • Negotiate and close deals to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Manage and grow client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Stay updated with market trends and competitor activity within the retail space.
  • Report on sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts to management.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (travel is essential across the Western Cape).
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the retail sector.
 
Preferred:
  • Experience selling products or services into retail chains or independent retail outlets.
  • Knowledge of the Western Cape retail landscape and established business networks.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales and meet/exceed targets.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Solid presentation and negotiation skills.
