Safari Sales Coordinator (CPT Hybrid)

ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic Travel Tech company in Durbanville seeks the exceptional communication, organisational and time-management skills of a self-driven Safari Sales Coordinator who possess general knowledge of Southern and/or East Africa. You will create itineraries in WETU for a team of Consultants, issue all travel documentation while making and confirming bookings, including the holding of flights. The ideal candidate must possess a Travel and Tourism Degree with 2+ years work experience in the Tourism industry – specifically in the inbound Safari industry with solid knowledge of African destinations, logistics and properties. You will also need 2+ years’ work experience in an Administrative/Sales Support role within the Tourism industry with proficiency in MS Office/Google Workplace.
 
DUTIES:
  • Create itineraries in WETU for the team of Consultants.
  • Issue of all travel documentation- Itineraries, Vouchers, flights, etc.
  • Check availability of requested suppliers.
  • Make provisional bookings, including the holding of flights.
  • Confirm bookings and issue of flights.
  • Ensure all dietary and special requests are noted with suppliers.
  • Reconfirm all travel services for all clients due to travel.
  • Assist with loading of bookings into the Reservations System.
  • Assist with Invoicing.
  • Assist with updating of CRM.
  • Assist the Product, Marketing and Sales Team with any ad-hoc duties.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
  • Travel and Tourism Degree.
 
Experience/Skills –
  • 2+ Years’ experience in the Tourism industry specifically in the inbound Safari industry.
  • 2+ Experience in an Administrative/Sales Support role within the Tourism industry.
  • Computer literate– MS Office / Google Workplace.
  • Knowledge of African destinations, logistics and properties.
 
Advantageous –
  • Tourplan and WETU system knowledge.
