People Specialist (JHB)

ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, who is in the skin care industry is seeking a People Specialist who will be based at the global manufacturing site in Boksburg and will report to the People Manager. They will provide day-to-day operational and administrative support across key areas of the HR value chain, ensuring smooth execution of all HR processes to maintain a positive work environment.
 
DUTIES:
  • Recruitment: Liaise with recruitment agencies to source and screen CVs for operational vacancies.
  • Payroll: Consolidate and submit monthly payroll reports (leave and overtime) accurately and timeously to the payroll department.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Plan, coordinate, and execute the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • HR Events: Assist in planning and executing events such as wellness week, company functions, and team engagement sessions.
  • IR/ER: Support managers with drafting and issuing disciplinary warnings and assist with disciplinary enquiries as needed.
  • Training: Coordinate and arrange factory training, maintaining and updating all training records and reports for compliance.
  • EHS: Collaborate with the EHS Officer to ensure all employees adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Psychology from a leading university.
  • Experience in an HR Generalist or HRBP role in a similar environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
