Partner Channel Account Manager (West Africa) (1 Year Contract)

ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, a software developer focused on government digitization in emerging markets, is seeking a dynamic Partner Channel Account Manager (PCAM) to lead revenue growth through the management and expansion of strategic partnerships in West Africa. This role is pivotal in driving partner development, cross-selling opportunities, and deepening market penetration within the Transport sector. It requires strong B2G sales experience and a solid understanding of government software solutions. This is a one-year contract position, based in either Senegal or Ivory Coast, with French language skills considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Management & Growth:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with regional and national partners.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with clear sales targets and growth strategies.
- Identify and onboard new partners to expand market reach.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Drive new customer acquisition and existing account expansion (cross-sell/up-sell).
- Guide partners in pipeline management and deal closure.
- Set and monitor KPIs to assess partner performance and implement corrective actions.
Market & Competitive Intelligence:
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Leverage insights to refine partner strategies and product positioning.
Collaboration & Enablement:
- Work with partner marketing teams to launch joint campaigns.
- Provide partners with training, tools, and support to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Align internal teams (sales, marketing, product) to support partner success.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Track performance against targets using CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and BI tools.
- Report outcomes to management with data-driven recommendations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years in B2G sales, preferably in software/Transport sector.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes in West Africa.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics.
Other Requirements:
- French proficiency (advantageous).
- Willingness to travel regionally.
- Existing network in Transport sector/government (preferred).
