National Tenders Manager

ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, a leading retailer, is seeking an experienced National Tenders Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end tender process. The role requires a strong understanding of tender requirements and protocols, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders nationwide to secure successful outcomes.
 
DUTIES:
Tenders and RFQs
    • Act as the primary contact of the business for all matters related to tenders nationally.
    • Ensure timeous and accurate completion of SBD Forms
    • Co-ordinate with regional resources to ensure timeous completion and submission of tenders nationally.
    • Liaise with regional sales departments to ensure accurate and timeous preparation of quotes for submission with completed documents.
    • Ensure tender submissions are complete and all required documents are included in the submission.
    • Ensure that tender and RFQ submission logs are kept up to date for reporting purposes.
    • Review received tender opportunities to identify and remove fraudulent tenders and scams.
 
Customer Communication
    • Ensuring all tender portals are kept up to date with the correct company details including but not limited to company registration number, VAT number, BBBEE level etc.
    • Liaising with various departments to ensure that updated documentation is received timeously
    • Maintenance of National Contracts folder on shared drive.
 
Reporting and Administration
    • Extract and distribute CSD Summary Reports monthly
    • Follow up and document outcomes on submitted tenders and RFQs
    • Ensure company documents are kept up to date in a centralised cloud storage facility.
    • Ensure Tender Register is kept up to date with submitted tenders and RFQs and their outcomes.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Five years of experience in a similar role.
  • Deep understanding of Tenders Processes
  • High Attention to Detail
  • Excellent Deadline Management Skills
  • Highly professional with excellent communication skills
  • Strong MS Office Skills.
