Junior – Mid-level Paid Media Specialist – Cape Town

ENVIRONMENT:
A reputable digital command center based in Cape Town is looking for a Junior (1–4 years’ experience) or Mid-Level (4–8 years’ experience) Paid Media Specialist to develop, execute, and manage paid media campaigns across multiple platforms. This role is key to driving business growth and achieving marketing objectives through strategic planning, hands-on campaign management, performance analysis, and budget oversight. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing paid media campaigns, a strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices, and proficiency in tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other relevant platforms.
 
DUTIES:
Campaign Planning and Strategy:
  • Develop comprehensive paid media strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research, audience targeting, and competitive analysis.
  • Create and manage content calendars for social media campaigns.
 
Campaign Execution:
  • Manage and optimize campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Implement tracking and conversion goals using tools like Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
 
 Performance Analysis and Reporting:
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics, such as impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, and cost per lead/sale.
  • Analyse data using tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other platforms.
  • Generate regular performance reports and present findings to stakeholders.
 
 Optimization and Testing:
  • Continuously optimize campaigns based on performance data to improve results.
  • Conduct A/B testing on ad copy, targeting, and other elements to identify best-performing strategies.
 
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce high-quality ad creatives.
  • Work with marketing teams to align paid media strategies with overall marketing goals.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients regarding campaign performance and opportunities.
 
Staying Updated:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in paid media and digital marketing.
  • Maintain relevant certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint).
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven experience in managing paid media campaigns across various platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other relevant tools.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online retail is beneficial.
