Senior Python Developer (Django) (CPT Hybrid)

ENVIRONMENT:
LEAD the technical modernisation of a Django-based insurance platform of a well-established Financial Services provider seeking the coding expertise of a Senior Python Developer. You will help drive this transformation, working on meaningful technical improvements while mentoring team members and shaping the technical direction. The successful incumbent must have suitable experience with Python, Django, API development and integration, a solid understanding of MariaDB/MySQL, database optimization & security best practices in financial systems and have knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
 
DUTIES:
  • Lead the technical modernisation of a Django-based insurance platform.
  • Design and implement robust APIs and integrations.
  • Drive best practices in Software Development and System Architecture.
  • Mentor and technically grow team members.
  • Contribute to system design decisions and technical direction.
  • Implement security best practices and maintain data integrity.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong experience with Python and Django framework.
  • Proven experience with API development and integration.
  • Solid understanding of MariaDB/MySQL and database optimisation.
  • Experience with modern Development practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of security best practices in financial systems.
 
Advantageous –
  • Experience with insurance or financial systems.
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Familiarity with containerisation and development automation.
  • Experience with system modernisation and legacy code improvement.
