ENVIRONMENT:
A fast-growing Tech Platform in Joburg seeks a dynamic, sharp, and solutions-oriented Business Development Lead to join its team and help grow the company’s footprint across South Africa (and beyond). You will own the Sales cycle from first touch to signed agreement and onboarding handover, identify and pursue new business opportunities while pitching and demonstrating value proposition—how tech solves real problems and creates business efficiency. You will require 3+ years in B2B Sales or Business Development – preferably in SaaS, Logistics, or Tech, a proven track record of generating leads and closing deals with familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) and sales outreach tools. If you thrive on hunting new opportunities, have a passion for technology, and are excited by the idea of owning the full sales cycle until onboarding commences —this role is for you.
DUTIES:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors that would benefit from the delivery tech platform.
- Engage directly with prospective clients as the first point of contact, understanding their needs, pain points, and current systems.
- Pitch and demonstrate value proposition—how tech solves real problems and creates business efficiency.
- Own the Sales cycle from first touch to signed agreement and onboarding handover.
- Collaborate closely with the Onboarding and Account Management teams to ensure a smooth client transition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and early-stage clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
- Track your pipeline and activity in CRM tools and provide feedback to help improve our messaging, product fit, and sales strategy.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ Years in B2B Sales or Business Development – preferably in SaaS, Logistics, or Tech.
- Strong understanding of technology systems, integrations, and customer workflows.
- Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Onboarding, or Operations teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) and sales outreach tools.
