IT – Manager
Pretoria/Centurion – Gauteng – South Africa

ENVIRONMENT:
AN IT Manager with 5 years’ hands-on experience in a fast-paced multi-location environment (retail or franchise preferred) is sought by a Centurion-based organization in the Fast-Food Space. You will oversee day-to-day IT systems, including servers, networks, POS systems, and software, manage IT issues impacting store operations, ensuring minimal downtime and track recurring issues and recommend preventative solutions. The successful incumbent must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science or similar discipline and relevant Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL or Cisco in addition will prove beneficial. You will need expertise in server management, network administration, and troubleshooting with strong technical skills in IT systems, infrastructure, networking, and security.
 
DUTIES:
IT Administration –
  • Oversee day-to-day IT systems, including servers, networks, POS systems, and software.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to stores, head office, and warehouses.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues independently, ensuring operational continuity.
  • Handle incident management and escalate when needed, ensuring 24/7 uptime for stores.
 
Coordination with IT Partner –
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the external IT partner.
  • Manage escalations and ensure SLA compliance, guiding the external team when needed.
 
Streamlining IT Operations –
  • Develop and implement internal IT processes to improve efficiency as the company scales.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to identify areas for expanding internal IT resources.
  • Introduce and adopt new technologies to reduce reliance on external partners.
 
Store IT Support –
  • Manage IT issues impacting store operations, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Resolve outages (e.g., server crashes) swiftly and communicate with area managers for timely updates.
 
Daily Reporting & Issue Resolution –
  • Provide daily reports to the CTO on IT issues and resolutions.
  • Track recurring issues and recommend preventative solutions.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL, Cisco) are a plus.
 
Experience/Skills –
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT Management experience in a fast-paced, multi-location environment (retail or franchise preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with external IT partners and vendors.
  • Expertise in server management, network administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong technical skills in IT systems, infrastructure, networking, and security.
