A fast-paced leading FinTech company offering an intellectual culture by placing importance on idea generation, innovation, learning and discussing interesting topics seeks a Technical Writer to be involved in in 2 distinct areas of the business Technical documentation (Help, training manuals, etc.), Client documentation (client solution overview documentation).
Help Documentation: CHM/HTML/PDF documentation which includes technical reference, how tos’ and explanations of core concepts in the system.
Installation Documentation: Document relating the process of installing the product as well as configuration of the systems environment (Think Firewall, Windows updates, .NET framework, etc).
Systems Documentation: These documents are mainly diagrammatical and are required by IT teams to provision infrastructure.
Disaster Recovery Documentation: Documentation to inform IT teams as to what needs to be backed up daily and what the recovery procedure needs to be in general terms.
Training Documentation and ‘Manuals’: Documentation of the concepts that is built upon.
Client documentation: Documentation describing the solutions we provide to our clients
A minimum of 5 years’ experience of Technical Writing
Good at articulating technical documentation in easy to understand prose
Familiarity with an authoring tool and a keen interest to learn MadCap. The company use MadCap Flare which produces documentation is in CHM, PDF and HTML formats.
Ability to show ideas graphically. Adept at using graphical tools to incorporate screenshots, artwork and diagrams into presentations.
Excellent technical comprehension skills. This person needs to be able to assimilate technical information from the Development and Implementation teams
Good communication skills (liaise with Graphical designers, Development team, Implementation Consultants).
A strong sense of accountability and ownership.
The ability to work as part of a team.
The ability to prioritise work.
The ability to self-manage and work independently.
An interest in technology and the Investment Management industry.
