ENVIRONMENT:

Global Mobile Communications Giant who builds software products to enable mobile operators to create advanced subscriber benefit provisioning solutions requires a Product Manager

 

DUTIES:

  • Project management in the PRINCE2 framework
  • Running projects on behalf of the Project Board within specific constraints and liaising throughout the project with the Project Board and Project Assurance
  • The Project Support and Team Manager roles
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects;
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
  • Assisting in the definition of the project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
  • Ensuring resource availability and allocation;
  • Developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress;
  • Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques;
  • Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
  • Reporting and escalating to management as needed;
  • Managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders;
  • Performing risk management to minimize project risks;
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships and third parties/vendors;
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation;
  • Delegating project tasks based on individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels of the team;
  • Tracking project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals;
  • Meeting budgetary objectives and making adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis;
  • Developing comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members;
  • Using and continually developing leadership skills;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned;
  • Developing working documents and process maps to document needs;
  • Adopting any delegation and use of project assurance roles within agreed reporting structures;
  • Preparing and maintaining project, stage and exception plans as required;
  • Applying change control and configuration process through highlight reports and end-stage assessments;

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Google systems, tools etc.
  • Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Proven working experience in project management
