A fast-paced E-Commerce platform seeks a passionate, versatile & solutions-driven Product Owner for its Advertising division. Your core role will entail determining & managing the advertising product roadmap, ensuring product solutions meet business needs and are based on international best practices & trends and ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will need a Degree in Computer Science/Informatics/Engineering/Digital Marketing or similar, 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role or BA or related field, proficient with advertising tools including Google Ad Manager, DV360, Google Analytics, Data Studio and strong Project Management.
Determine, scope, prioritise and manage the advertising product roadmap.
Ensure that product solutions and requirements meet business needs and are based on international best practices and trends.
Ensure that product solution design is practical and implementable across the Group.
Ensure that prioritised projects are placed on the development roadmap and communicate all requirements to all necessary stakeholders across the business.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with the project teams to analyse any additional information needs related to functional requirements.
Be proactive in ensuring that the development and QA teams understand the requirements by attending team meetings and initiating functional clarification sessions where needed.
Obtain sign-off on the specifications from all stakeholders.
Put plans and processes in place to maximise the value that can be obtained through advertising tools, including but not limited to, AdManager, DV360, Google Analytics and Data Studio.
Define and implement short term advertising opportunities by utilising tools that are readily available.
Ensure that all requirements are met during solution design and post implementation.
Build and maintain reporting to measure the success of projects.
Degree in Computer Science/Informatics/Engineering/Digital Marketing or similar Degree.
A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis, Product Management or a related field.
Advertising focused product management experience (experience in Digital Marketing is advantageous).
Advertising tool experience, specifically with Google Ad Manager, DV360, Google Analytics, Data Studio and other ad manager/server platforms and reporting/targeting tools.
Strong Project Management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including technical and non-technical individuals.
Experience in an Agile / Iterative Project Management and Development environment.
Experience in an E-Commerce environment.
Can-do attitude and high energy.
Strong analytical and critical thinking, using data to inform decisions.
Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high quality, innovative, clean solutions.
Versatile and with an appetite to learn by doing.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A proven track record of delivering results.
Good technical understanding of software development processes.
Good commercial acumen and business analysis skills – analytical and able to use data to make decisions.
Ability to verbalise and visualise outcomes and communicate technical concepts in a clear, concise manner.
