ENVIRONMENT:
A progressive company at the forefront of Cloud Solutions is actively seeking a Product Manager to play a key role in supporting the Software Development team. This involves defining product requirements and influencing the desired user experience. The Product Manager will actively participate in the development process, from crafting technical specifications and defining user experiences to contributing input into design and user interface. Furthermore, they will contribute to enhancing cross-functional team efficiency, overseeing product testing, and managing various tasks related to production, spanning the entire range of responsibilities. A relevant tertiary qualification is essential, along with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in Product Management.
 
DUTIES:
Support the department in Product Management functions including:
Launching new product initiatives including:
  • Pricing and margin readiness
  • Approved Terms and Conditions
  • Sales training and collateral (direct sales and resellers)
  • Strong focus in the direction of Generative AI and its role in the business.
Product lifecycle:
  • Maintaining complete and up to date master price lists inclusive of execution of margin objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships internally and with suppliers and partners to support the effective and successful implementation and delivery of products and services.
Performing market research:
Support all sales objectives (direct and reseller) through:
  • Providing market and competitor insight and guidance
  • On-going product training and collateral
  • Providing input on non-standard bids
Ownership of allocated product portfolio:
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of all company products in particularly those in your portfolio
  • Cultivating strong relationships with all product partners to ensure the company enjoys excellent service levels.
  • Acting as an escalation point to ensure that product related issues are resolved successfully.
  • Developing, maintaining, and delivering all training collateral associated with product portfolio.
  • Following Products Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Keeping meticulous, up to date records in area of responsibility.
Product development facilitation:
  • Act as a product representative in the product development process
  • Write, define, refine, and groom specs for the Software Development Team to ensure the goals of the organisation are met.
Actively participate in the product development and launch process including:
  • Sprint planning
  • Sprint demo’s
  • Grooming all tickets
  • Ensuring that the journey and story mapping is revisited and kept on track in an agile environment.
  • Participate in all stages of product development from ideation, to prototyping to testing and launch.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification essential
  • 3+ years of  Product Management experience essential
  • Previous experience in various aspects of developing and delivering Product Training essential
  • 3+ years’ experience in Telecommunication/IT/Voice industry essential
  • Agile Scrum Master Certification beneficial
  • 3+ years of working in an Agile environment essential  
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies essential:
    • VoIP and IP Telephony technologies including CPaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS solutions
    • LAN / WAN
    • TCP/IP
    • ICT Security
    • Other beneficial
