The analytical rigour & strong leadership of an Insights Consultant Team Lead is sought by a fast-paced global Data Specialist. Partnering on projects led by experienced insight & client teams, you will conduct both quantitative and qualitative research using social datasets to analyse data, identify trends, understand consumers’ interests and present the findings. Together with Insight Directors in London & New York, you will be jointly responsible for supporting & developing the performance, engagement and careers of the team, ensuring they are providing high quality insights and analytics across a large range of client projects. You will be responsible for the quality and timeliness of the insight deliverables produced. You must have a relevant Degree/Post-grad qualification with at least 3-4 years’ work experience in Qualitative/Quantitative Analysis, have line managed developing professionals, able to work with large volumes of Excel data and skilled at using PowerPoint to conduct presentations.
Role model the day-to-day duties of an Insights Associate (those who you will support), such that with training and your own experience, you can trouble shoot, coach, and train:
Taxonomy Builds – Expand inclusion and exclusion terms from master taxonomy around topics such as ingredients, product, brands and themes.
Data curation and outputting – Use proprietary tools to curate datasets and run data outputs for analysis.
Analysis – Conduct both Data-led and Qualitative analysis.
Report Writing – Succinct reporting of both Data-led and Qualitative analysis, identifying compelling insights that answer key business questions.
Project Delivery – Actively participate in client and internal meetings, debriefs and presentations.
Be proficient with self-serve SaaS products, and demonstrate to clients how some of our consulting outcomes can be leveraged and replicated within them.
Work as part of the team to share ideas.
Take an active role in sharing key learnings and best practice both informally and in team sharing sessions.
Partner with the Insight Directors and the Insights VP in providing feedback on the performance and potential of team members, contributing to personal development plans, and enabling resolution of any performance improvement areas.
Have a ‘finger on the pulse’ of the team and escalate to the appropriate stakeholder in a timely fashion any obstacles to performance and project quality/timing delivery, outlining potential resolutions and support needed.
Partner with the Project Team & Insight Directors in scheduling & tracking project workload & progress by team member.
Partner with the Lead Analyst in London, in terms of identifying opportunities for greater speed to delivery (identifying and resolving process ‘pain points’ via automation etc.), and in testing & deploying new analytic capabilities that drive incremental insight.

Strong track record of academic success, including a relevant Degree or Post graduate qualification.
At least 3-4 year’s relevant work experience in Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis.
Early line management experience developing professionals e.g., managing 1-2 graduate trainee hires.
Able to work with and interpret large volumes of Excel data.
Feel comfortable and confident working with a range of stakeholders, including clients.
Confident in presenting internally. Skilled at using PowerPoint to present in a professional and visually compelling way.
Interest in product innovation and new technologies.
Interest in understanding consumer attitudes & behaviour, and wider cultural trends.
An interest in new emerging research techniques and the potential of data and technology.
Ability to work both alone and collaboratively with other team members– you will partner with teams in London and New York, alongside colleagues in Cape Town.
