ENVIRONMENT:

DESIGN, brief, implement and execute multiple campaigns that will help growth the customer base of a dynamic Financial Services Group seeking a highly driven, analytical & articulate Direct Marketing Manager to join its team. Your key focus will be on Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management across all Direct Marketing channels and products and therefore experience working across products and channels will be ideal including building campaigns and strategies based on performance and data as well as managing multiple campaigns simultaneously. You will also require a relevant Marketing Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification, have 5 years’ Marketing experience as a Marketing Manager in the Retail/Financial Services industry, strong commercial acumen having managed through the line Marketing campaigns including Digital, Above the Line & Direct Marketing. You must be able to understand key drivers in boosting business profit and growth, able to manage and optimise budgets while having experience targeting the SA Middle Class Emerging Market.

 

DUTIES:

Define and implement sales targets for the various customer segments.

Develop integrated Direct Marketing strategy that is aligned to the business and partner strategic objectives, based on credit target-market insights.

Manage relationships with partners and the development, implementation and monitoring of the marketing strategy.

Take ownership for driving effective and timeous delivery and implementation of the identified marketing campaigns within specified budget to achieve business revenue growth targets.

Ensure achievement of key marketing and campaign performance metrics and develop a holistic reporting and monitoring framework and ensure visibility to key stakeholders regarding the performance.

Participate in the development and execution of customer market research initiatives that lead toward greater insight into customer response, behaviour and perception.

Be the business owner for the implementation of systems (in conjunction with internal and external partners), processes, procedures and reporting templates within the scope of direct customer marketing.

Develop test strategies and champion challengers to maximize results.

Build and harness relationships with internal stakeholders, partner teams and service providers to efficiently and effectively deliver marketing campaigns.

Actively monitor industry trends; participate in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.

Stay abreast of regulation and legislation and ensure mitigation to minimise any business risk.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications –

Relevant Marketing Degree or equivalent qualification.

 

Experience/Skills –

Minimum of 5 years Marketing experience as a Marketing Manager in the Retail or Financial Services environment.

Strong commercial and business understanding with experience in managing through the line marketing campaigns – including Digital, Above the Line and Direct Marketing.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Financial Management experience and understanding of key drivers in driving business profit and growth. Ability to manage and optimise budgets.

Managing a Senior stakeholders.

Experience targeting the South African Middle Class Emerging Market.

Strong communicator, highly articulate able to present results to Execs.
