Form part of a global team that supports the main order management and trading platforms as well as other Front Office applications as the next Trade Support Analyst sought by an Independent Asset Management Firm. You will also be expected to analyse and resolve business problems and issues. Essential requirements include understanding key Front Office data requirements, investment terminology and related security information and experience of large and varied data sets. You will also require a relevant tertiary qualification, have working knowledge of key Front Office systems and team’s processes & structures, experience liaising with vendors and brokers to resolve issues, thinkFolio/Charles River or other Order Management System, FIX messaging, EMS applications and strong SQL Server and database query skills.
Support for global Front Office investment systems (including portfolio modelling/order management, execution and compliance).
Support of the dealing (Equity, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives) processes and systems.
Understand the data architecture within as it relates to data being fed into and out of Front Office systems. Analyse and source data required for these systems.
Liaise with data providers (e.g., Back Office, market data) to resolve queries.
Development, testing and deployment of small system enhancements.
Liaise with system vendors to log and track product issues and enhancements.
Write queries (particularly in SQL) to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
Communicate with end users and other teams within IT to notify of system incidents and resolution thereof.
Some out-of-hours support, testing and product implementation.
Assist other application support team members where necessary.
Understanding of key Front Office data requirements, investment terminology and related security information.
Experience of large and varied data sets, from multiple data sources in order to conduct analysis and streamline processes.
Relevant tertiary qualification.
Working knowledge of key Front Office systems.
Working knowledge of Front Office team’s processes and structures.
Experience in liaising with vendors and brokers to resolve issues.
thinkfolio/Charles River or other Order Management System.
Strong database and database query skills in SQL Server.
Highly Desirable –
Knowledge of market trade and liquidity interfaces.
Experience in supporting dealing team.
Experience working within the ITIL ITSM framework, including the use of service software like ServiceNow.
