A fast-paced Asset Management Specialist based in Bellville seeks a technically strong Tier 1 IT Support Engineer to join their team. Your role will require you to assist with monitoring, investigating, and remediating all security threats, as well as installing and configuring workstations, and updating and maintaining the IT asset register. The ideal candidate must have a MCSA/MCSE or similar, 4-6 years’ experience in a similar role, and experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows OS, and O365 applications.
  • Assists with monitoring, investigating and remediating all security threats
  • Resolves service requests according to SLA
  • Installs and configures workstations
  • Creates/amends/deletes user accounts in all systems
  • Attends meetings and updates documentation
  • Update and maintain the IT asset register
  • MCSA/MCSE or similar
  • 4-6 years’ experience in a desktop support/Tier 1 IT Support Engineer environment
  • Administering and supporting Microsoft Active Directory
  • Installing and supporting desktop operating systems (Windows 10 & 11)
  • Installing and supporting Office365 applications (Exchange, Teams, Sharepoint Online, OneDrive)
  • Installing and troubleshooting end user hardware and printers
  • Troubleshooting networking problems
  • Installing and supporting voice applications
  • Supporting and remediating anti-virus and security issues
  • Experience supporting remote users
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
