Senior Debtors Clerk (JHB)

ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic Joburg Brand Specialist seeks a highly meticulous & self-driven Senior Debtors Clerk with strong financial acumen to join its team. Your core role will be to prepare Debtors statements, pass journals, allocate receipts on the ERP/Accounting package while following up with Debtors on outstanding accounts. The successful candidate must possess a suitable Accounting/Bookkeeping tertiary qualification with 5 years’ experience as a Debtors Clerk with strong Word and Excel. The ability to communicate in several SA languages will prove hugely beneficial.
 
DUTIES:
You will work closely with the Debtor’s Clerk and the Debtor’s Controller to –
  • Prepare Debtors statements.
  • Pass Debtors journals.
  • Allocate Debtors receipts on our ERP/Accounting package.
  • Liaise with Debtors and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Maintain the Debtor’s ledger and debtors age analysis.
  • Field Debtor queries/complaints.
  • Load new Debtors on to the ERP/Accounting package.
  • Prepare various Debtors reports in Excel.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Relevant tertiary Accounting / Bookkeeping qualification.
  • 5 Years’ experience as a Debtor’s Clerk.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple South African languages will be an advantage.
