ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic Internet Service & Network Specialist seeks a Sales Specialist who will be employed as a Commercial, Technical and Solutions expert with the task of working closely with Sales teams to provide them with clerical support to ensure that the products being offered can be tailored to meet the customers’ requirements. You will take ownership of all Tenders in the MPS Unit and drive the qualitative responses while ensuring that the MPS unit remains profitable from a PBIT perspective. The ideal candidate will understand the Managed Print Solution sales cycle, with the aim to gain and retain annuity clients. You must have Matric/Grade 12 and preferably a Bachelor’s Degree or suitable IT qualification and relevant Sales Certification as per MPS 3rd party offerings with 4-5 years work experience in a similar role.
DUTIES:
- Work closely with the Sales team in the area of product suitability and service delivery expectations.
- Advise on bid/no bid decisions based on technical and commercial considerations.
- Articulate (Through written submissions and oral presentations) solutions to both technical and non-technical customers.
- Support sales efforts with in- depth product and business knowledge.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company’s print products and solutions offerings and methodologies.
- Work with the Product Development teams to capture new customer requirements and develop and expand the product portfolio.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and build good relationship with clients to the company`s benefit.
- Produce detailed costing for customers and ensuring the contract is profitable.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Bachelor’s Degree or suitable IT qualification – preferred.
- Relevant Sales Certification as per MPS 3rd party offerings.
- Printer Vendor Certifications and qualifications.
- Print Management Software Certification.
Experience/Skills –
- 4-5 Years’ experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience working within a Sales Specialist position.
- Must be a subject matter expert with extensive print, software and solutions experience.
- An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.
- Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position would be a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel within a wide geographical area for client meetings.
