Reporting & Tax Analyst (Maternity Cover)

Cape Town – Western Cape

ASSIST with corporate tax calculations and submissions as the next Reporting & Tax Analyst sought by a dynamic Financial Services Group to fill a 6-Month Maternity Cover Contract. You will also assist the Financial Reporting Manager and Tax Manager with external reporting through compiling and analysing financial information. The successful incumbent must possess a suitable tertiary qualification in Account with 2-3 years’ Accounting and Tax work experience including exposure to month end reporting processes and preparation of annual financial statements. You will also require a proven track record performing complex reconciliations and be proficient with Intermediate to Advanced level MS Excel.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packs and assist with preparation of the annual financial statements for the Group of companies.
  • Preparation of regulatory submissions.
  • Assist with variance analysis of key trends and review of balance sheets to parent company.
  • Assist with preparation of the direct and indirect taxes calculations.
  • Responsible for all withholding tax calculations and submissions for the Group.
  • Responsible for posting of the journals for taxation.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and requests from the Financial Reporting and Tax Manager.
Qualifications –
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting.
Experience/Skills –
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years relevant Accounting and Tax experience.
  • Exposure to month end reporting processes and preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Proven analytical skills with experience working with large volumes of data.
  • Proven track record with performing complex reconciliations.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (Intermediate – Advanced).
