ENVIRONMENT:
Our client’s mission is to revolutionize the security industry through technological innovation. To uphold their commitment to excellence, they are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their growing QA team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the top-notch quality of their software products.  As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with the QA Lead and team members to efficiently execute test plans and strategies. Your responsibilities include conducting manual and automated tests, reporting defects, and guaranteeing that their software fulfills all functional and performance criteria.
 
DUTIES:
Test Planning
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of test plans and strategies.
  • Understanding the scope, risks, and objectives for each testing effort.
Test Execution
  • Executing manual and automated test cases as per the test plan.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects to the QA Lead.
Team Collaboration
  • Collaborating with other QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Working closely with developers to reproduce defects and get them resolved.
Quality Metrics
  • Tracking and reporting on key quality metrics like defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Assisting in root cause analysis to understand issues affecting quality.
Communication
  • Effectively communicating test progress and results to the QA Lead and other stakeholders.
  • Participating in daily stand-ups and other team meetings.
Automation and Tools
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Familiarising yourself with the testing tools and technologies used in the project.
Documentation
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for test cases, test data, and defect reports.
  • Ensuring all testing activities are well-documented for auditing purposes.
Continuous Learning
  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
