ENVIRONMENT:
THE expertise of a forward-thing Product Specialist is sought by a cutting-edge Cloud Solutions Specialist whose role will have a core focus on training in the Product Management portfolio while supporting the business objective to grow its consumer market. You will launch new product initiatives, perform market research while you develop, maintain, revise, update and improve new and existing training material and delivery Product & Sales Training. The ideal candidate must have a passion and knowledge of the Telecommunications industry both global and locally, have 2+ Years of Product Management & experience in Telecommunication/IT/ Voice industry. You will also require prior experience developing and delivering Product Training, have strong presentation and training skills & working knowledge of: VoIP and IP Telephony, LAN / WAN, TCP/IP & ICT Security.
 
DUTIES:
Support the department in Product Management functions including –
  • Launching new product initiatives including:
    • Pricing and margin readiness.
    • Approved Terms and Conditions.
    • Sales training and collateral (direct sales and resellers).
    • Product lifecycle.
  • Maintain complete and up to date master price lists inclusive of execution of margin objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally and with suppliers and partners in order to support the effective and successful implementation and delivery of products and services.
  • Perform market research.
  • Support all sales objectives (direct and reseller) through:
    • Providing market and competitor insight and guidance.
    • On-going product training and collateral.
    • Providing input on non-standard bids.
    • Supporting effective implementation of sales campaigns.
 
Own and manage the departments Training portfolio including –
  • Developing a deep understanding of the Product and Service offering.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the current Product Training portfolio.
  • Participating in the departments Product Training plans and then delivering to meet these plans.
  • Technology platform –
    • Assessing training platforms / technology.
    • Implementing and maintaining the company’s training platforms / technology.
    • Ensuring all Product Training is migrated to the platform.
    • Managing and maintaining knowledge base of all product-related training.
    • Extending the platform to other areas of the business and supporting other departments to use and benefit from technology.
    • Timeous and accurate record keeping.
  • Perform an assessment of all existing Product Training identifying gaps.
  • Develop, maintain, revise, update and improve new and existing training material.
  • Deliver training to internal stakeholders to help develop skills that make them better professionals. Primarily Sales functions but will extend to the greater organisation.
  • Deliver training to external partners, primarily channel and white label partners, to develop their ability to sell and support products.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential –
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Knowledge and passion of the Telecommunications industry both global and locally.
  • 2+ Years of Product Management experience.
  • 2+ Years’ experience in Telecommunication/IT/ Voice industry.
  • Previous experience in various aspects of developing and delivering Product Training.
  • Strong presentation and training skills.
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies –
    • VoIP and IP Telephony technologies
    • LAN / WAN
    • TCP/IP
    • ICT Security
 
Advantageous –
  • Prior experience of running a training platform.
