ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, a renowned South African car rental company with over 36 years of industry expertise, is seeking a dynamic and personable National Sales Manager to lead and manage a team of dedicated sales professionals nationwide in the van rental sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and achieving goals related to business units, volumes, market share, customer brand awareness, customer satisfaction, and brand image. Additionally, they must efficiently plan, manage, and control all van rental sales channels to meet the market share targets set by senior management.
DUTIES:
- Developing and executing national sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Setting sales targets and monitoring performance to ensure goals are met.
- Analysing sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize sales strategies.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key clients and partners.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and product development.
- Providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to sales team members
- Ensuring sales activities align with company values and compliance standards.
- Reporting sales performance and market insights to senior leadership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 15+ years senior sales experience.
- Experience in leading and developing a sales team.
- Able to interact at C-Suite or senior level.
- Proven track record – demonstrated.
- Relevant degree and competency – NQF level 6.
- Expertise preferably within car/commercial rental or fleet management industry.
- Selling and marketing skills.
- Maintain a professional demeanour at all times by adhering to the company protocol and procedures.
- Treat other team members with courtesy and respect – Team player.
- Demonstrate flexibility in meeting operational needs.
- Comply with all reasonable requests relating to their business to enhance their service or assist their customers.
- Broad knowledge and understating of general principles of management, marketing, advertising, market research, sales, finance, legislation, product, body and equipment.
