ENVIRONMENT:
Our customer who operates as a communication platform that links various service providers to swiftly initiate a synchronized reaction, is currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to assume a central role in overseeing their cloud infrastructure and software portfolio, thereby guaranteeing the consistent delivery of outstanding services to their valued clients. To qualify for this role, candidates should ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess an equivalent diploma and academic background. Moreover, candidates should be able to demonstrate their expertise in cloud infrastructure management and cloud security through proven experience.
DUTIES:
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and scaling of their cloud infrastructure.
- Implementing and managing cloud-based backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Cloud Security Management
- Designing and enforcing cloud security policies, including firewall configurations and access controls.
- Conducting regular cloud security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
Software Portfolio Management
- Administering and optimising their suite of cloud-based software applications.
- Ensuring software licenses are up-to-date and compliant with vendor agreements.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Providing cloud-specific technical support to team members for software and access issues.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to cloud services and applications.
Performance Monitoring and Optimisation
- Monitoring the performance and availability of cloud services and applications.
- Implementing optimisations to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborating with various departments to understand their cloud-based IT requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Effectively communicating with team members, stakeholders, and cloud service providers.
Documentation and Compliance
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud configurations, policies, and
- procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with industry cloud standards and regulations.
Training and Skill Development
- Educating staff on best practices for using cloud services and applications.
- Staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent diploma and academic background.
- Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management and cloud security.
- Familiarity with leading cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Cloud-related certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Associate Cloud
- Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are a plus.
