The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing financial risks, developing actuarial models, and supporting data-driven decision-making across various business functions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights into risk management, pricing strategies, and business performance. DUTIES:
- Develop and maintain actuarial models to assess financial risks and support decision-making.
- Analyse data to evaluate risk, pricing, and profitability across different business units.
- Assist in the development and pricing of new products or services.
- Conduct scenario testing and sensitivity analysis to inform business strategies.
- Collaborate with data scientists, finance, and product teams to provide insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and report on business performance metrics, financial risks, and actuarial assumptions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Assist in preparing actuarial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an actuarial role, preferably in a financial services or insurance setting.
- Progress towards Associate or Fellow designation with a recognized actuarial body.
- Strong skills in actuarial modeling, risk analysis, and pricing.
- Proficiency in Excel, actuarial software, and statistical tools (e.g., R, Python).
- Knowledge of financial modeling, risk management principles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
