Your leadership skills and business acumen are sought by a Durban-based Financial Services Provider to join their team as the new Head of Talent and Culture. You will need to lead a strong and relevant Talent and Culture team to drive effectiveness and efficiency across the Talent and People value chain, to identify and grow future talent withing the business. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Talent and People, and will oversee the HR Business Partner, the Culture Specialist and the HR Coordinator.
  • Build solid partnerships with the Talent and People team and all stakeholders, in order to effectively communicate and execute on the HR strategy aimed at attraction, retention and development of People. This will include the building and continuous improvement of, but not limited to:
      • Employee brand positioning
      • Talent acquisition strategies
      • Competitive Reward & Recognition Strategies
      • Performance management systems and processes
      • Leadership Development
      • Talent Development
      • Succession planning
      • Pro-active interaction and integration with Leadership and Culture
  • Take a proactive and key interest in stakeholder’s approach to driving the Talent and People portfolio forwards
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the purpose and functionality, as well as the key drivers and challenges of the distribution business and ultimately of the business at large
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • At least 5 years in a senior Leadership role having been involved in strategy and development and in the management of others
  • A key interest in Leadership and the growth and development of People
  • An ability to translate and utilise the Business Strategy to formulate and drive the people agenda across the business
  • Sound business and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to execute strategy while at the same time making a valuable contribution to its formulation
