ENVIRONMENT:
An innovative educational technology firm is presently in the process of seeking to fill the role of Group Head of Finance within their team. They are in search of an exceptionally intelligent individual, hailing from a big-4 audit background and possessing prior managerial involvement in a consumer-engaging operational enterprise. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strategic acumen, coupled with a desire to propel business expansion and foster innovation. Furthermore, they should exhibit self-motivation, a strong initiative, abundant vitality, and effective interpersonal skills. The chosen applicant must hold a CA(SA) qualification and possess a minimum of 7 years of managerial experience after completing their articles, all within a consumer-engaging operational establishment. The position is part of a highly energetic team in a fast-paced and high-growth environment, reporting to the Group CFO. The business is working towards providing accessible learning solutions in SA and globally.
DUTIES:
- Lead Group Finance function, including all aspects related to accounting, debtors & creditors, and treasury.
- Full IFRS reporting to Group stakeholders.
- Managing the team of finance personnel, including training and performance management.
- Managing external auditors for the Group and subsidiaries.
- Ensuring best practices in finance processes and systems.
- Drive business process automation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CA(SA) qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of post-article management experience in a customer-facing operational company.
