Data Reporting/ Market Analyst (Remote)

ENVIRONMENT:
PROVIDE analytical and technical support to business operations, using data insights to drive business decisions, improve processes, generate reports and decks and optimize workflows as the next Data Reporting/Market Analyst sought by a global Marketing Software House specializing in B2B products. The ideal candidate must possess a BCom or equivalent with two years industry related working experience in FMCG, Customer Insights, Market Research or Retail related industry, 2+ years demonstrated data reporting and visualization using Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Advanced Excel ability) and experience with Project Management, Report presentation and training facilitation and have strong data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
 
DUTIES:
Analytical Reporting –
  • Analyse and interpret the data and consumer behaviours to deliver meaningful market intelligence which helps clients make informed decisions about their business, brand, products and market strategies. Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets and make recommendations.
  • Tell stories with data by being able to reduce complexity into simple explanations for non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct quality checks of datasets and reports.
  • Troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate and resolve data related issues on either an individual basis or in conjunction with the technical team.
  • Flexible and agile with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Pro-active and confident with the ability to communicate progress, developments and difficulties encountered on an ongoing basis.
  • Initiative taking – willingness to take the initiative in identifying and pursuing new tasks, projects, or learning opportunities.
  • Provide ad hoc data analysis and reporting support as needed.
  • You have good intuition and think about users not just numbers, understanding some of the key drivers of churn, engagement and execute.
  • Support the Data Analytics team in the design and implementation of data analysis process and procedures.
 
Stakeholder engagement and communication –
  • Ensure that decks or reports presented meets customer needs and objectives.
  • Work closely with the Account Managers by resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes.
  • Communicate ideas and make recommendations for process improvement across the organization.
 
Team and Task Management –
  • Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfilment.
  • Maintain task tracking and updates on Jira.
  • Provide assistance to team members to meet deadlines or quality checks.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
  • A tertiary qualification, BCom or equivalent with two years industry related working experience in FMCG, Customer Insights, Market Research or Retail related industry.  
 
Experience/Skills –
  • 2+ Year demonstrated data reporting and visualization using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Advanced Excel ability).
  • Project Management.
  • Report presentation and training facilitation.
  • Strong data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
 
Advantageous –
