ENVIRONMENT:
BE directly responsible for managing the end-to-end vendor renewal process for customers as the next Contract Manager sought by a dynamic Internet Service & Network Specialist. This will include ensuring timely and accurate renewals, addressing customer inquiries, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. Applicants must have Matric/Grade 12, at least 5+ years’ work experience in a similar role in the IT industry with a solid understanding of RFQ and tender processes, contracts, purchase orders and billing. You also need experience working on Vendor tools/portals and understand enterprise infrastructure products and be willing to learn and understand basic technical aspects of the products.
 
DUTIES:
Manage Renewals –
  • Prepare and issue high volumes of accurate support renewal quotes to customers with a minimum of 90 days before expiration or as per customer/account manager requirements.
  • Oversee the process until activation while handling customer queries and internal queries.
 
Manage contracts –
  • Ensure contracts sold are activated and quality checks are completed.
 
Customer Interaction –
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to address customer inquiries and concerns regarding renewals.
 
Record Keeping –
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support renewal and contract activities.
 
Negotiation –
  • Negotiate pricing with vendors to secure renewal agreements.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Essential Must have Matric or Grade 12.
  • 5+ Years’ experience in a similar role in the IT industry.
  • Understanding of RFQ and tender processes.
  • Good understanding of contracts, purchase orders and billing.
  • Experience working on Vendor tools/portals.
  • Understand enterprise infrastructure products and be willing to learn and understand basic technical aspects of the products.
  • Work with large amounts of data in a structured manner to gather and execute on information.
  • Strong customer services skills.
  • Strong computer skills. (MS Office).
 
Advantageous –
  • 2-Year IT Diploma or equivalent a bonus.
  • ITIL Awareness.
  • Experience with HPE.
