ENVIRONMENT:
A customer-centric Business Development Manager with Sales experience in Fin/Tech industries with strong commercial & contractual acumen is sought by a global Payments Solutions Specialist. You will be responsible for improving the company’s market position and achieving the targeted financial growth within the region of operation. You will also play a critical role in building relationships and business with existing clients as well as new prospects while ensuring customers are delighted with service delivery and products. You will be expected to achieve sales targets, develop and deliver against strategic account plans. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of the Payments industry, a solid understanding of sales methodologies and proven account development skills within a complex, multi-solution client portfolio.
 
DUTIES:
  • Deliver the agreed sales targets (quotas) and revenue targets as set from time to time.
  • Own and drive pre-sales engagement activities with potential clients and existing clients.
  • Develop professional customer interactions by actively building business relationships with multiple contacts points in client environments.
  • Interface with clients, third parties as well as the Management and Operations teams about new and ongoing engagements.
  • Provide effective reporting mechanisms such as forecasting which should include the accurate update of the company’s CRM system.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and business.
  • Own and drive proposals and RFPs to customers with input from Technical and Product teams.
  • Pricing the solution/service.
  • Develop and execute against short and long-term strategic plans for clients aligned to the market strategy and to increase revenue, planning the appropriate approach and pitch.
  • Establish trust relationships with clients by actively building business relationships with multiple contacts points in client environments.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  • Identify, size and close new business opportunities and contribute to design and packaging of solutions using insights gathered from clients and the market needs.
  • Clearly articulate how the business will drive commercial value to clients.
  • Responsible for the contracting process with clients.
  • Evaluate competitive actions with respect to the existing customer portfolio and within the market and recommend appropriate action.
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Prepare regular reports of sales and account progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using accurate key account metrics.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Working knowledge of Payments industry and associated products and services.
  • Thorough understanding of sales methodologies and proven Sales and Business Development track record.
  • A high degree of commercial and contractual acumen together with the proven ability to structure commercially appropriate engagements.
  • Proven account development skills within a complex, multi-solution client portfolio.
  • Proven track record in growing existing accounts and developing new accounts.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional business relationships throughout an organisation.
  • Proven track record in Senior and C-level engagement and relationship building.
