Automation Test Lead (Appian)

A fast-paced Investment Firm is looking for an Automation Test Lead who has the passion, drive, strong technical and problem-solving skills. As a Test Lead, you play a critical role in leading people, managing the planning, preparation, and execution of testing activities within each test level, solving the many complex challenges along the way, and using some of the industry’s latest technologies. This role will also provide you with the opportunity to provide sound technical guidance and mentorship and contributing to the implementation of effective QA processes.
Automation is a key, so you expected to have a strong coding background to assist in building the automation systems to deliver this world class software rapidly.
  • Contributing to the implementation of the test strategy, test processes, procedures and ensuring adherence
  • Managing the planning, preparation, and execution of testing activities
  • Solving complex testing specific problems, proposing different scenarios and approaches across multiple systems
  • Identifying and implementing ways to test more efficiently in the team
  • Monitoring progress of testing efforts and taking corrective action where required, including escalating risks and issues as and when required to the Test Manager and/or other relevant parties
  • Collaborating with Domains to implement QA best practices across Retail IT
  • Implementing testing initiatives, influencing, mentoring, recruiting, managing, coaching, and providing direction to Test Analysts
  • Driving the improvement of manual and automated test coverage
  • Driving implementation of continuous improvement and preventative actions & increasing maturity
  • Works with Tech Leads on the design of the final solution, ensuring its testability
  • Looking to resolve testing issues and challenges across teams
  • Conducts regular code reviews
  • Can actively contribute and drive improvement in the team’s pipeline
  • Ensures the automation of tests in-sprint, at the appropriate level
  • Contributes to broader framework development within their domain
  • Competent in automating across the full-stack and able to mentor others in this space too
  • Strong mentorship, leadership and technical skills are a must.
  • CRM, BPM or Transaction Domain knowledge is advantageous
