Solution Architect (Customer Engagement)

Strategically advise and shape customer engagement as the next Solution Architect sought by a reputable retail company. You will be expected to create high-quality architecture in support of business requirements and lead the realisation of designs into the final solution implementation. You must possess a BSc Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or similar, deep subject matter knowledge of real-time contextual marketing that is personalised and relevant to individual customers & technical knowledge of SAP Marketing Cloud and Cloud Architecture.



Create data, application and technology architectures and designs for solutions to realise Customer Engagement blueprints and non-functional requirements in line with architecture standards.

Serve as the primary Customer Engagement solution architecture and design authority for all project and operational stakeholders and ensure architecture quality across all solutions that enable the marketing business domain.

Contribute to solution architecture and design standards and SDLC governance requirements.



Qualifications –

BSc Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or similar discipline.


Experience/Skills –

7-10 Years’ work experience in the IT industry.



All aspects of IT projects from business analysis, architecture, system analysis and design through development, testing, implementation, and production support (SDLC).

Excellent design and architecture skills and proven track record delivering well designed complex enterprise class systems.

Identification and formulation of solution architecture and solution alternatives and their assessment.

Architecting and developing n-tier applications using multiple programming languages and paradigms.

Demonstrated expertise in a variety of application development methodologies and practices.


3-5 Years’-

Implementing solutions in an architecture capacity in the Customer Engagement and Digital Marketing industry.


2-3 Years’-

Leading a team through an architectural development process and collaborate with application development teams, architects and other members of the software development team.

Current Solution Architecture research and standards.

Retail industry experience with an understanding of retail business processes.

Deep technical knowledge in any leading marketing automation platform at enterprise scale.

Architecture and design of Customer Engagement solutions (Marketing Automation, Cloud, APIs, micro-services, omni-channel, etc.) and integration to other solutions.

Commercial and business understanding of the broader eCommerce and retail services industry.

Software development frameworks and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, TOGAF, etc.).



Strong analytical, problem-solving and logical skills.

Excellent team-working, interpersonal skills.

Developing proposals and excellent written communication & presentation skills.

Excellent organisation and facilitation.

Strong conflict management.
