A proactive and highly skilled Software Support Technologist is sought by an innovative security solutions company based in Stellenbosch. You will test cutting-edge tech, render software maintenance and provide training. The ideal candidate requires a BSc Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant Engineering/Software Diploma, have 3 years related work experience and your tech toolset must include: C/C++, C#, Python, Linux, Windows OS, Shell Scripting and Git.
Test new software and provide feedback to the software team.
Develop and maintain software for automated system testing.
Develop and maintain software for remote monitoring.
Develop and maintain scripts and tools for automated software builds.
Provide Level 2 support on issues that support technicians.
Be on standby for urgent software issues that support technicians after hours.
Train technicians regarding updates to the system software.
Provide software support to production technicians building new radars.
Update the knowledge base for support queries.
Peer code reviews.
Design, develop and test software applications in accordance with company standards.
BSc Computer Science/Engineering or Diploma in Engineering/Software.
Minimum 3 years relevant working experience.
Software testing and automation.
Understanding of Version Control concepts.
Familiarity with test-driven development and unit testing theory.
Able to develop software in C, C++, C#, Python or other selected languages.
Linux OS and Shell Scripting.
GIT Software repository usage.
Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills.
Strong desire to learn.
Able to work under pressure.
Creative problem-solving skills.
