Join a fast-paced global leader in the digital monetisation space seeking a highly talented Project Manager to join its team at its Joburg offices. You will be expected to manage full outsourcing projects, manage resource allocation thereof and build project teams. You will require a relevant university Degree and Project Management Certification, have at least 7+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferable having managed projects in the IT/Telecoms/Start-up/Media space, how to formulate technical and business requirements & strong JIRA and MS-Office knowledge, particularly MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel.



Manage full outsourcing projects, working closely with management, engineers, country manager, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure the development of milestones and schedules for the many moving parts that need to come together.

Gather requirements and define the scope of the project.

Manage resource allocation for projects.

Develop a plan and schedule, with well-defined milestones.

Act as liaison, problem solver, and facilitator.

Manage the communication of progress to senior management and core internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues as necessary.

Develop project documentation and reporting for senior executives and other key stakeholders to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices.

Setup gate documents, project timing and budget with help of existing Project Management standards, methods and tools.

Build project teams, define project roles & responsibilities, securing resources and leading them to performance.

Anticipate and manage risks and if necessary securing escalation.

Regular reporting of project status to functional Lead in headquarters and close collaboration with steering committee members.



Qualifications –

Relevant university Degree and Project Management Certification.


Experience/Skills –

7+ Years of equivalent project management experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects in the IT / Telecom / Start-up/ Media space.

Proven track record in leading cross functional projects, preferably in an international environment.

Strong understanding of both business as well as technology stakeholder requirements.

Great knowledge of how the collaboration between Software Development, Testing, Business Analysts and Project Management takes place in an Agile work environment.

Formulating technical as well as business requirements.

Excellent JIRA and MS-Office knowledge, particularly MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel.

Languages: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.

South African citizenship or permanent residential status with work permit required.


Advantageous –

Experience in classic IT/Telecom l Start up projects with virtual teams – Agile projects are a plus.




Exceptionally high ownership.

Excellent analytical skills (problem structuring and problem solving), able to handle complex analyses.

Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritise work efficiently, and good team orientation.

Excellent critical thinking skills.
