A dynamic Financial Services Provider seeks an individual who is a strategic thinker with strong business acumen for a 6-Month Contract to join their Product: Cards division. Your core role will be to maximise product appeal to retail partners and consumers. You will require a Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Commerce, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Product Management role within a Commercial Business unit, 8 years’ experience in Retail and/or Financial Services, a general understanding of functional areas that influence the implementation of changes to existing products or the launch of new products i.e.: Finance, Risk, IT, Collections, Sales etc.
Lead development and evolution of Card Product offerings and proposition strategy.
Develop and manage portfolio growth strategies to ensure achievement of commercial business objectives.
Identify new opportunities and develop relevant business cases to assess feasibility.
Implement effective pricing strategies to optimise customer and business performance.
Leverage data insights and analytics to develop revenue and profit optimisation strategies.
Manage the product P&L.
Facilitate and manage the budget process for Cards.
Manage, retain and grow the existing customer base (increase book growth) via development of appropriate existing customer management strategies.
Provide in-depth market and competitor analysis.
Engage with Finance, Sales, Operations and Risk departments to ensure robustness of business cases and Product development strategies.
Provide input and liaise with Marketing team to ensure development of innovative marketing programs and communication strategies to deliver on growth objectives.
Engage with Legal and Compliance to ensure that all Products are compliant.
Ensure effective cost management and maintain expenses within the agreed budget range.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Commerce.
At least 5 years’ previous experience in Product Management role within Commercial Business unit.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Retail and /or Financial Services.
Sound understanding of Product Management.
Good understanding of Marketing.
General understanding of functional areas that influence the implementation of changes to existing products or the launch of new products i.e.: Finance, Risk, IT, Collections, Sales etc.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Able to think and act strategically and systematically.
Excellent communication skills including, written, verbal and presentation experience.
Can think creatively and innovatively within area of accountability.

Patience, endurance and tenacity.
Sense of personal accountability.
Ability to engage with senior business leaders as well as external stakeholders
