ENVIRONMENT:

A fast-paced, innovative financial services platform seeks the technical expertise of a Master Data Developer to join its Enterprise Data Management team to deliver strategies and solutions to embed data management capabilities within the business. You must have Matric, a Degree or equivalent qualification in IT / Informatics / Information Systems & 3+ years’ experience in the following skills: C#, Java, .Net, Informatica: Master Data Management, Data Director and/or Data Quality, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Source Control.

 

DUTIES:

Provide expertise using technologies such as Informatica Data Director, Informatica Data Quality, and Informatica Multi-Domain MDM.

Serve as a key contributor to a team of IT professionals focused on Informatica technology, technical project delivery, day-to-day operational support, and communication of results to leadership.

Research and provide best practice on optimising the usage of the Informatica product stack.

Deliver solutions in a regulated environment.

Ensure deliverables meet or exceed service-level expectations for quality, timeliness and performance.

Create and maintain system & process documentation according to the IT methodology (design, test specifications, and other deliverables as necessary) for development and administration.

Performance tune existing solutions as well as solutions created.

Help define and implement strategies for integration and QA testing.

SQL queries and optimizations.

Deployment and confirmation of successful deployment to multiple environments.

 

Financial Budgeting –

Identify and escalate potential risks that may lead to increased costs.

Demonstrate cost consciousness and awareness of personal contribution to costs.

Increase knowledge and understanding of financial processes and adheres to required operating standards. Business Process: Ensures cost saving efficiencies.

Follows existing processes and procedures to maintain cost efficiencies.

 

Customer Excellence –

Adhere to the Organisation’s shared values, service standards and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) outcomes with regards to customer interaction.

Resolve customer dissatisfaction/complaints and takes ownership of the problem. Communicates with customers according to agreed standards.

Collect customer feedback to help improve customer service.

Ensure that product knowledge and advice is technically accurate.

 

Business Process –

Work with enhanced processes and procedures to maintain operational efficiencies.

Ensures that quality standards are adhered to.

Adheres to Company policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate activity reports.

Optimise work through the application of Learning experiences.

Investigate innovative ways to optimise processes.

Contribute to the alignment of business processes to customer service.

Advise line management on potential opportunities for process and system improvements.

Demonstrate the shared value “Ownership”.

Provide production support.

Attend to errors and queries, and to areas where Application Support cannot resolve the problem.

Resolve user queries, provides information to users.

Is available on standby for possible call outs.

Run extracts for users when they request reports on an ad hoc basis.

Write data scripts to fix data.

Interact with business units and vendors to resolve queries and discuss solutions.

Write code and assists with the writing of specifications.

Write, test and reviews code.

Write code according to specifications and coding standards.

Assist Quality Assurance with Test Plans and queries.

Setup deployment of code and attends to defects timeously.

Write technical specifications or change business requirements (CBR’s).

Write the change business requirements (CBR) for tasks.

Review the business specifications if necessary.

Participate in business review sessions.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications –

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.

Degree or equivalent qualification in IT / Informatics / Information Systems.

 

Experience/Skills –

3+ Years:

Development experience in C#, Java, .Net

Informatica: Master Data Management, Data Director and/or Data Quality

SQL Server, SSIS, etc.

Microsoft Visual Studio

Source Control
