Our client, a legal and software consultancy based in the southern suburbs of Cape Town is looking for an experienced Linux Systems Administrator with Linux (Centos/Redhat) experience and a relevant qualification to join their dynamic development team where you can help advance one of South Africa’s most cutting-edge products.
Maintaining the company’s IT network, servers and security systems.
You will be responsible for investigating and diagnosing network problems, collecting IT usage stats, improving the company’s IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions.
Monitoring and assessing infrastructure performance and reliability and making ongoing improvements.
Planning and project management of new infrastructure / facilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant qualification would be an advantage.
At least 5-8 years’ experience in a similar role.
Linux (strong skills essential)
NIS / NFS / Samba
Windows (desktop level support)
Mac (desktop level support)
