A results-driven IT Project Manager with strong coordination, commercial acumen & above average numerical ability is sought by a service provider of quality certification and cold chain management. You will direct & coordinate projects while managing resources throughout the different Agile project life-cycle stages. The successful incumbent must possess an IT Degree/National Diploma and a Project Management Diploma. You require at least 5 years’ experience in both Project Management & Software application project implementation, proven Agile methodology and tools (SCRUM), PMBOK/Prince 2, full SDLC implementation for longer than 6 months & be able to develop, visualise and present Agile roadmaps into a ‘project plan’. Please note this is a 2-year contract.
Ensure the project is delivered on time, on schedule, on budget and within scope.
Ensure business case objectives, business objectives and benefits of the project are attained.
Coordinate and align all stakeholders to ensure the success of the project.
Implement an integrated, highly efficient and flexible application system that meets the current and future needs of the business.
Implement the project application system in a manner that supports standardisation of data and using best practices for business processes.
Create a conducive environment that ensures a committed and happy project team who meet their deliverables.
Ensure the project is managed according to the governance framework, PMO and relevant legislation.
Provide regular dashboards and report on project progress.
Present the project progress, issues, risks, scope, etc. at monthly steering committee meetings.
Ensure integration and dependencies with other projects (internal and external to PPECB) are addressed.
IT Degree or National Diploma.
Project Management Diploma.
Scrum Master/Agile/Prince 2/PMBOK Certification preferred.
5 Years Project Management.
5 Years Software application project implementation for a mid-size organisation.
Proven experience in Agile methodology & tools (SCRUM).
Project Management methodologies (PMBOK/ Prince 2).
Full SDLC project implementation for longer than 6 months.
Application development experience.
Strong project documentation and reporting.
Cost management and procurement.
Developing, presenting, visualising and communicating Agile roadmaps into a ‘project plan’.
Financial Management and budgeting principles.
Change management principles.
Public Financial Management Act.
Strong coordination; organising and administration skills.
Time management and prioritisation.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving competency.
Interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
Relationship management and influence: ability to motivate, ensure buy-in and can resolve conflict.
