ENVIRONMENT:

A fast-paced leading FinTech company offering an intellectual culture by placing importance on idea generation, innovation, learning and discussing interesting topics seeks an Implementation and Support Account Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the financial markets industry and a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.

 

DUTIES:

This is a leadership role where the appointed candidate will be the line manager to two junior implementation consultants within the next 12-month period. The candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to these candidates daily and will be accountable for their performance.

Liaise and Interface with clients and key project stakeholders as and when required. The candidate should have the experience and confidence to engage at a client management and/or executive level. The candidate is expected to form good working relationships with all stakeholders.

To have enough of a high-level system understanding to be able to deliver on adhoc day to day client requests. The candidate will have the backing and support of the implementation team, as and when required.

To ensure the software delivers excellent service and support to Johannesburg based clients in line with the SLA agreements in place.

To have a sufficient understanding of the software solutions delivered to clients to provide them with first level and later second level support. To have the required experience to know how and when to escalate issues to ensure a quick turnaround to client queries.

To understand the business requirements of clients, the focus being the research and investment process of these Asset Managers.

To have the ability to train users on how the software solutions delivered work.

To provide feedback to the Development team regarding new functionality requirements and bugs.

Own and enhance the relationship with users.

Be a Brand Ambassador

 

REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the financial markets industry

A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.

The following degrees have been found to be a good fit: BCom/Bachelor of Business Science degree with a major in IT and/or Finance. Either the candidate should have studied Finance but has an interest in IT or vice versa.

Any financial qualification relevant to the Asset Management Industry (i.e. CFA) is ideal. However, it should be noted that the ideal candidate who has successfully completed any CFA courses should be more interested in the IT side of Asset Management as opposed to a Portfolio Manager position for example.

The programs main interface is Excel. Consequently, proficiency in using Excel is a plus.

The platform is primarily configured using the programming Language, which is based on Excel’s functions. Some experience in a programming language is therefore also a plus.
