A provider of the latest advancements in digital health and wellness solutions invites an Electronic Engineer to join its team in Stellenbosch.  Candidates should have a Computer Science, Engineering or relevant Degree with a solid understanding of embedded systems.



Design and integrate embedded electronic subsystems in partner prototypes / products.

Collaborate closely with adjacent technical teams: hardware, software, embedded engineering, data analytics, and QC teams.

Write, understand, and explain embedded code and concepts for both internal and external use.

Perform data analysis and communicate findings.



Have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Have a solid understanding of embedded systems. This involves basic hardware interfacing as well as protocol design, and includes experience with storage, streaming and parsing of sensor and communication data. Experience in sensor signal conditioning, DSP and data analysis preferred.

Have Python programming skills or experience in similar script-based language.


Should be proficient in the following technolgoey stacks:

Cortex / ARM based toolchain; GCC, Keil, IAR

Altium Designer

JIRA / Confluence / Git / Slack / Google Apps


Makefiles; Pipelines, Docker images, Jenkins


Be able to participate in all phases of the development lifecycle.

Be willing to learn, solve problems, and automate processes.

Be willing and able to travel internationally to provide on-site support to partner companies for integration, testing, and debugging work.



Have strong communication skills. Business level English reading and writing essential for engaging with customers and preparing documentation.

Be comfortable working in an uncertain, dynamic, and fast-moving environment. We are a growing start-up company in a cutting-edge industry and team members need to be comfortable keeping pace with constantly evolving targets, projects, and collaborators.

Have the strong interpersonal skills required to collaborate within a team, as well as the competence and discipline to work independently.
