A Cape Town based telecoms company requires an Online Marketing Campaign Manager to join their dynamic online marketing team to enable, build and maintain strong, profitable relationships with key customer segments in target markets. 3-5 years of online direct response marketing campaign management experience across various online media, within international markets is required. Extensive advanced web copywriting experience is essential.
DUTIES:
1. Manage social media properties as the client’s representative (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) including daily monitoring, message posting and UGC and company content development for social media.
2. Be the advocate of the company in social media spaces, engaging in Online dialogue with external parties and dealing with customer issues that arise on these platforms, when appropriate.
3. Leverages social media and online advocacy platforms to create brand awareness and opportunities to engage more deeply with customers and prospects in a low touch manner.
4. Become the custodian of the social media and low-touch sales marketing tools necessary to perform appropriate low-touch and trigger-based marketing communications using these media types, including social networks, blogs, email, SMS and others.
5. Managing the customer conversion and retention trigger-based communication matrices for optimal customer conversion along the funnel, customer lifetime revenues and lifecycle management, in a low-touch manner using Online media.
6. Assist the Online Media Manager in the implementation of campaigns and processes to convert leads into purchasing customers using online sales and marketing tactics.
7. Provide personal, low touch customer relations correspondence via email to self-service customers and prospects.
8. Write high quality promotional copy for all media types that are consistent with brand guidelines.
9. Interface with the company’s various customer and campaign analytics sources on an ongoing basis to monitor and predict customer behaviour across different parts of the lifecycle, for different customer types.
10. Prepare and interpret daily, weekly and ad-hoc marketing performance reports for Online self-service sales customers.
11. Analyse Online self-service customer behaviour data to uncover strategic opportunities to convert, monetise and retain customers.
12. Identify and communicate new marketing opportunities and / or potential threats.
Requirements
1. Extensive advanced web copywriting experience essential.
2. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or similar.
3. Copywriting qualification desirable.
4. 3-5 years of online direct response marketing campaign management experience across various online media, within international markets.
5. Excellent knowledge of online media channels, techniques, metrics, planning and technology.
6. Experience with managing agencies / suppliers / publishers.
7. Proficiency with MS Office, especially intermediate-advanced Excel.
8. Experience working with analytics tools advantageous, especially Omniture Site Catalyst.
9. Experience working with Doubleclick DREAMmail email management software advantageous
10. 2nd European language such as French or Spanish advantageous.
11. Strong marketing proficiency.
12. Some sales or customer relations experience advantageous.
13. An understanding of multi-channel CRM.
14. Strong data analysis and critical thinking skills.
15. Very strong written English at advanced copywriter level non-negotiable.
16. The ability to write solutions-based marketing content with a keen eye on customer conversion, monetisation and retention is critical.
17. Strong experience in direct response Online marketing desirable.
18. Clear understanding of the difference between B2B and B2C copywriting, as well as its application in social media.
19. Fairly advanced knowledge and experience of web-based businesses, internet marketing and social media.
20. High levels of attention to detail and well developed troubleshooting and problem resolving skills essential.
21. Good understanding of the various phases in the application development lifecycle advantageous.
22. Structured, organised and efficient.

24. Demonstrate knowledge of social media best practices, emerging trends and how to apply these tactics to achieve business objectives of driving traffic.
25. Knowledge of online marketing trends.
