This international design and production company requires a QA Analyst.

DUTIES:
1. Support the organisation through the hands on day-to-day software testing of our bespoke application used by our high profile and global clients to manage their media activities across all media streams.
2. Test individual and / or packages of changes / fixes / new work as part of patches and/or versioned releases.
3. Establish, create and execute test cases to agreed deadlines.
4. Raise and track non-compliance identified during test execution.
5. Work with local and offshore developers to verify standard of testable changes.
6. Maintain and execute existing test cases.
7. Provide assurance that application changes cannot be corrupted by single actions.
8. Be able to plan own working time.
9. Test output ‘functionality’ in accordance with brief and established test methodologies.
10. Support the business to manage and deliver client work right first time on time.
11. Be pro-active and therefore anticipate and rectify issues at project outset before they become a problem.
12. You will motivate and encourage the team so that together you strive to achieve client satisfaction in all you do. As a key member of the QA team your colleagues will support and develop you wherever possible. You will return the same sharing and experience with your fellow colleagues, subordinates and the business.

Client and Customers
1. Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Client project teams.
2. Develop and evolve methodologies to remove frustrations and enhance the ‘user’ experience.

Commercial and Administration
1. Ensure that Time and Materials are correctly accounted for.
2. When requested provide timing plans for Project Management Teams.
3. Attend and provide technical input into team meetings.
4. Ensure developers understand testing plans and timeline implications.
5. Keep abreast of technology in the digital, IT and development environments.
6. Where appropriate build education, guidelines and training programmes for internal teams, clients and other relevant parties.

Communication
1. Report feedback in a pro-active manner to Directors and colleagues.
2. Build and drive your relationship with key contacts in the business (IT, front & back end developers, Account and Project Management, third party suppliers).
3. Offer daily support to the development teams.
4. Support the Project Managers, Developers, Traffickers, Producers, Creative Client and organization’s team members every day.

Quality
1. Help to maintain a secure, safe and clean working environment.
2. Ensuring the adherence to all quality and health & safety policies, practices and procedures.
3. Test ‘code’ according to guidelines and/or where provided written test plans.
4. Where necessary write test plans appropriate to the functional specification.
5. Provide accessibility testing.
6. Create and test ‘Users’ to specified parameters and working protocols.
7. Ensure testing is conducted within a development / staging environment.
8. Verify output against the requirements of the Brief and provide technical sign off.
9. Verification and Approval of output ensuring that optimum performance for both quality and productivity is achieved.
10. Identification, Documentation and Investigation of circumstances surrounding Internal Non Conformance and in-house revisions.
11. Continuous assessment of the working practices in order to identify improvements and efficiencies within the operating processes.


Requirements

1. ISEB qualified [or equivalent].
2. 2+ years experience hands on relevant experience working within a QA environment.
3. Proven experience and working knowledge of QA disciplines; Unit testing, Integration testing, Functional and non-functional testing, System testing, Regression testing UAT.
4. Proven experience of Test case / script authorising, execution and management.
5. Proven experience of the Software Development Lifecycle [SDLC], changes / non-compliance lifecycle and Change / non-compliance management and applications.
6. Understanding of Content Management Systems [CMS].
7. Working knowledge / exposure to automated testing.
8. Ability to lead change / project testing on request.
9. Have a keen eye for detail.
10. Proven experience of SQL Server and in particular Microsoft SQL and Relational Database principles.
11. Working understanding of web application back end technology and architecture.
12. Working understanding of / exposure to Performance and Penetration testing.
13. Basic working knowledge of UNIX / Linux.
14. A good understanding for the Agile software development methodology (inc. Scrum, Sprints, daily stand-ups etc)
15. Working knowledge of Selenium.
16. A good working knowledge of JIRA.
17. Good ability to communicate [written and verbal] at a functional level.
18. Be an ambassador of both the organization and the Client at all times.
19. Works as a strong team player and diplomat.
20. Ability to coach and develop new / junior team members.
21. Ability to trouble-shoot and find solutions in pressured environments.
22. Understanding of the organizations CMD and internal working processes.
23. Display confidentiality at all times with regards to organization their Clients and the Client business.
