5. Problem solving techniques (quality techniques training); FMEA techniques (quality techniques training); Control Plan techniques (quality techniques training); Calibration techniques (quality techniques training); APQP/PPAP/PSW techniques (quality techniques training); SPC techniques (quality techniques training).
6. Must have expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
7. Handle A-Z of International Standards audits on the Company.
Requirements
This Stellenbosch based company requires a Head of Quality to coordinate the activities required for the Quality Management Systems monitors and advises on the performance of the quality management system and produces data and reports on performance, and company quality objectives. The successful incumbent would need to ensure processes and products, conform to company and customer requirements; to ensure the company Quality objectives and targets are achieved; and to motivate the quality improvement for products and processes.
DUTIES:
1. Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation.
2. Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements.
3. Effectively interact with Production and Development Teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products.
4. Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
5. Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
6. Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated, if necessary.
7. Writing and management reports.
8. Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate, and agree comprehensive quality procedures.
9. Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs.
10. Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the quality assurance.
11. Setting quality assurance compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
12. Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
13. Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements.
14. Considering the application of environmental and health and safety standards.
15. Agreeing standards and established clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.
16. Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
17. Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
18. Managing internal and external audits.
19. Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications.
20. Establishing standards of service for customers.
21. Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
22. Organise and manage quality assurance function in close co-operation with the customers and with the Company’s management team.
23. Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training.
