A Cape Town based mobile application company requires a Mobile Java Developer to implement and maintain Java/J2ME mobile applications. 2 years work experience within the field and a Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline is essential. Extensive Java experience is required.
DUTIES:
1. Implement and maintain Java/J2ME mobile applications.
2. Work closely with Server Developers to create new features and expose existing functionality through the mobile applications.
3. Plan, design and implement a full mobile application for Java or Android or Blackberry.
4. Integrate with existing back-end services to interface with mobile application.

5. Proactively remain abreast of industry knowledge.
6. Actively knowledge-share with colleagues and sub-ordinates.
7. Self study and research in order to develop both technical and soft skills.
Requirements
1. 2 years work experience within the field is essential.
2. Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline is essential.
3. Extensive Java experience is required.
4. Solid experience in J2ME, Python and C++ is beneficial.
