A Cape Town based IT company requires a Snr Analyst Programmer to design, create and implement features. 4 years solid experience in developing software using OO principles and design patterns as well as 4 years of C# experience is required. SQL Server 2000 and 2005 as well as ADO.NET is also required along with UML knowledge. A graduate in Computer Science is ideal, but solid experience will be considered as well.
DUTIES:
1. Designing, creating and implementing features adding to the value of the product.
2. Involved in peer design and code reviews to ensure quality.
3. Investigating and fixing defects and support issues on released software versions.
4. Assisting support in investigating and fixing client issues.
5. Play a central role in establishing new and continuing using best practises for development in an agile environment.
6. Willing to adapt to and implement fast changing business requirements.
Requirements
1. 4 years solid experience in developing software using OO principles and design patterns.
2. 4 years C# experience.
3. SQL Server 2000 and 2005 (Stored Procedures and Views).
4. ADO.Net.
5. Multi tiered applications (.NET remoting, WCF and Web Services).
6. Graduates in computer science ideal, but solid experience will be considered as well.
7. Knowledge of applying UML and other modelling techniques in designing and developing of software.
Advantageous:
8. Scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript and ActionScript).
9. Web Technologies (XML, ASP.Net and AJAX).
10. Office automation.
11. SQL 2008.
12. WPF.
13. Team Foundation server (TFS) administration.
14. Continuous integration builds.
15. Unit testing.
