This Cape Town based online travel company requires two mid-level Java Web Developers to join their team.
Become part of a dynamic team with that has developed a number of successful travel websites. Opportunities in established and new products. Great offices that are centrally located in the Southern Suburbs
Requirements
Applications need the following skills and/or experience:
1. Minimum 3 year tertiary qualification - Degree or Diploma with Computer Science or IT major.
2. Minimum of 2 years commercial experience developing software.
3. Minimum of 2 years Java experience, at least JDK 1.4.
4. J2EE experience, including JSP pages.
5. Database development experience using JDBC.
6. Web development experience with an understanding of web usability.
7. Good OO analysis, design and development understanding and experience.
It would be advantageous for applicants to have the following skills:
1. Hibernate experience.
2. Struts or other web framework experience.
3. Linux experience (usage, not development).
4. Working knowledge of Eclipse.
5. CVS or similar version control.
6. Basic graphic design experience.
7. RAD development, JUnit for testing.
